I’ve been with a girl for 6 months now, and it seems like every day has been better than the last. That is, up until yesterday. I was playing on her iPad while she was running errands, and she had left Facebook up. Well needless to say, curiosity got the better of me. I’m not proud of it, but I snooped around. I read a pretty long and extremely explicit string of messages between her and some guy back during the second month or so of our relationship. I would give her a pass for the first month, but after that we were pretty serious. The thought of confronting her about it tears me apart. Up until now we have had such an amazing, loving, intimate relationship. But now I just can’t even be around her without seeing his stupid *ss profile picture.
My gut instinct is to just cut her loose, but I don’t want to do that. I know what would happen. She would cry and beg for forgiveness. I would probably cry too. I’ve already done it a few times today. Just sitting here writing this gets me choked up. Up until yesterday there was no amount of time that we could spend together that would be enough.
If it had been more recent then I could say without hesitation that I would be done with her. But here’s the thing. I know it isn’t happening any more. At least not with him. She stopped driving to Tuscaloosa to see him, and for the last few months she hasn’t responded to his messages (all of which have been vain attempts at wooing her back.). There’s even still a pending friend request from him on her fb, so apparently they must have had some sort of falling out. Whether it was because she acknowledged that she was in a commited relationship or they had some sort of fight, I don’t know. either way she lied to me. A lot. Clearly I am going to have to talk to her soon. What do I say?
